"Alienation covers the mechanism of alienation in us. Special emphasis is put on the inner psychic processes and on the impulses of society, where our public self-images come to the fore at the expense of our inner world. Hence the performance creates a dramaturgy between moments of alienation and human's approaches to their essential being. Music, text, dance and video act in a dialog and thus become one."

Konstantin Tsakalidis received a professional education in directing, acting and choreography. Since 1990 he has developed multimedia performances that have been played in several countries. Looking at real society, he integrates social streams into his artistic concepts. To do so, he relinquishes literary guidelines and involves artists of different genres according to the topic. This way his pieces reveal his personal handwriting, whereas they also dispose of very different form profiles because of the broader artistic scope used.
