"Execution Ground is a contemporary experimental dance theatre piece with a space-consuming stage-setting, dia-projection and radical sound, which covers a highly political issue: the context of current execution grounds. This includes theatres of war, detention and reception camps and its changing offenders and victims, the riots of bigger cities, where skyscraper architectures appear like vertical blind alleys. They all merge into pictures of violence, arbitrariness, damaged biographies and nonsensically destroyed life."

Andre Jolles, graduate of Folkwang University Essen, works as a dancer and director in an experimental area of dance theatre, which he himself calls "RadicalJazzMusicTheatre". Working in Eastern Europe at productions, seminars and tours, he gained insight into a cultural and artistic "Cross-Over". This is how - amongst others - he created dance theatre productions such as Notes on Mingus, Nudeants - Concert For Two Dancers, Arearea, Exit, Refugis und Ich Werde Deinen Schatten Essen. Since May 2003 he has been realizing his experimental choreographic work together with likely minded dancers of the Kunsthaus Rhenania in Cologne. (Further info: www.andrejolles.de)
