"My initial inspiration was to create a pas de deux for my girlfriend Carolina and myself. Then, in the studio, I used the two characters to develop a relationship through motion. The third character represents the violent reaction created by teh fusion of each half of the couple, like the shock of atoms. But, ultimately, Hand in Hand is an open interpretable piece."

Antonin Comestaz finished his professional education at the Ballet School of the Paris Opera and the School of The Hamburg Ballet. He got engagements at the Ballet of The Paris Opera from 1999 to 2000 and at the Hamburg Ballet since 2001. In 2006, he created "SHE", a piece for the 10th International Solo-Dance-Theatre Festival in Stuttgart. Furthermore, he composed music for the dance project "Homo-science" which has been presented in Osaka and Tokio in July and August 2006.
