"This peace is meant to be understood as a patchwork of terms, feelings, interest in Japanese culture, textures, changes, motives and perceptions. The open plot of of the story deliberately leaves leeway for further interpretation. Nights originated as a solo piece and is in progress to become a group work."

Carolina Zimmermann was born in Argentina. Since her graduation from Folkwang Hochschule Essen she works as a freelance artist in Essen. In recent years she has mainly worked as a dancer (with Carlos Cortizo, Setanztheater, Ruhrtriennale, Trisha Brown, Documenta 12). Now, with her solo „Night“, she returns to the universe of choreographers. Her early works („ein Garten“… und „Navidanza“) were supported by the city of Essen, Schloß Bröllin, Kunststiftung NRW and the Allbau Stiftung. (further info: www.frauzimmermann.dance-germany.org)
